Easter – much more than just egg-hunt for the kids

When is Easter?…

Every year in March or April Easter is celebrated on a long weekend. But what exactly do we celebrate and is it really just a matter of chocolate bunnies and eggs for the kids?

Even if the egg hunt at Easter is the highlight for the kids, we adults should not forget about us. It’s a lot more than to hide a few eggs. We should dedicate the holidays to our friends and families and spend some nice hours together.

After the end of the 40-day Lent, Easter is heralded. It begins on Maundy Thursday and has its peak after Good Friday & Holy Saturday on the so-called Easter Sunday, the highest holiday of the church year. It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Egg-hunt and the tradition…

Similar to the Christmas season, the apartments and houses are decorated with painted eggs, branches or Easter bunnies.

Since most people get a few days off on this long weekend, this time is dedicated to family, children and friends. Tradition is the Easter breakfast with a delicious home baked Easter plait and the egg hunt afterwards.

So there is no better occasion to please your loved ones with a special and extraordinary gift. How about a bread-maker for mom or grandma, so the next family celebration with home-baked bread is even more enjoyable.
